An in-person meeting of the Book Arts Guild
What???
Books aren't new.
Meetings aren't new.
The Book Arts Guild isn't new.
What are we talking about here?
We're trying something new!
What is this photo doing here? Something Gnu, of course. Ha!
What's New?
We're going to meet on a Saturday* and we're meeting someplace new*
November 9th, 1:30-3:30 pm
Topic: Something New Show off an objet d'art de livre you've made or collected.
Tell us about a book artist or website you've discovered.
Describe your favorite paper to work with.
Demonstrate a new skill you've learned.
Present your current favorite tool.
Attend a live meeting.
For myriad reasons, over the next few months, we'll be testing out some new times, days, and locations. Vote for your favorite by attending!
This month, we'll be at the Rita Koontz community space generously provided by the U-District WSECU.
The room is located within the WSECU building on the corner of 45th St and 12th Ave in the U-District (1121 NE 45th St, Seattle). When you arrive, enter the main building entrance first and then use the inside entrance to the space on your right after you enter. (The outside entrance to the space is locked.)

Although parking is not provided, there is on-street parking and several pay lots nearby. Or take the train; the light rail station is only a few minutes away. There's plenty of bus service, too.
No need to preregister or RSVP. Just show up. Or come early and have lunch locally or visit the U-District Farmer's Market (University Way NE between 50th & 52nd) or Artist & Craftsman Supply (4350 8th Ave NE, Seattle) or University Bookstore (4326 University Way NE, Seattle) or the Burke Museum (4303 Memorial WAY NE, University of Washington) or Trader Joe's (4555 Roosevelt Way NE).
* acknowledging that yes, in the past, we have
had the occasional weekend meetup and
the occasional out-of-library experience,
but it's been a while for either
